Οι ματαιώσεις και οι αναβολές των ιπποδρομιακών συγκεντρώσεων κατά την διάρκεια του χειμώνα αποτελεί συχνότατο φαινόμενο στις Ευρωπαϊκές χώρες. Εμείς στην Ελλάδα είμαστε «προνομιούχοι» σε σχέση με τον καιρό, αφού οι συγκεντρώσεις που χάνονται εξαιτίας του δεν πρέπει να ξεπερνούν το 5,00% των ματαιώσεων ετησίως (γεγονός που πρέπει να μας προβληματίσει, γιατί χάναμε δηλαδή τόσες ιπποδρομιακές συγκεντρώσεις μέχρι τώρα). Δείτε τι συμβαίνει για παράδειγμα μόνο στην Αγγλία αυτές τις ημέρες (στο τριήμερο από χθες Παρασκευή 03-12-2010 μέχρι και αύριο την Κυριακή 05-12-2010).
